Lynden-Blaine Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Lynden-Blaine," "we," "us," "our," or "Company"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, transfer, and safeguard information when you visit the IFR Suite website at ifrsuite.app (the "Website") and/or download, install, access, or use the IFR Suite mobile application (the "App") and all related simulation features, training modules, cloud sync, subscriptions, communications, and support channels (collectively, the "Services").
IFR Suite is a proprietary, physics-based Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) flight simulation and training application operated solely for educational and entertainment purposes in a non-operational context. The App does not use a microphone, does not record your voice, and does not process any audio input from your device.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Use (the "Terms"). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services, leave the Website, and uninstall the App if installed.
Controller. Lynden-Blaine Inc. is the data controller (and "business" under applicable U.S. state privacy laws) responsible for personal information processed in connection with the Services, except where a third-party service acts as an independent controller (for example, Apple or Google when you authenticate or pay through their platforms).
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we process about users of the Services worldwide. It does not apply to third-party websites, apps, stores, payment platforms, map providers, or services that we do not control, even if linked from or integrated with the App.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy creates any warranty, representation, or contractual obligation beyond what applicable law requires or what is expressly stated in the Terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, disputes relating to privacy, data protection, or this Privacy Policy are governed by the dispute-resolution, arbitration, class-action waiver, limitation of liability, and governing-law provisions of the Terms, including exclusive application of Delaware law and arbitration seated in Wilmington, Delaware, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise for consumers.
The same account, profile, communication, and (where applicable) payment-metadata categories may be collected when you sign in or contact us through the Website.
• Account Information: Name or display name, email address, authentication credentials, and third-party sign-in tokens when you create or access an account using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or other supported methods.
• Profile and Preferences: Optional profile details such as display name, callsign, language or locale preferences, email notification preferences, and other settings you configure in the App.
• Communications: Messages, feedback, support requests, bug reports, screenshots you voluntarily attach, and other content you submit by email or in-app contact features.
• Payment Information: We do not collect or store payment card numbers, bank account details, or full billing credentials. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We receive limited transaction and entitlement metadata (for example, subscription or product status, plan or product identifier, purchase or renewal dates, and trial eligibility) from those platforms and from our subscription management provider.
• User-Imported Content: If you import charts, overlays, or other files into supported App features, those files and associated metadata may be stored locally on your device. We do not require you to upload imported chart images to our servers for ordinary use; if a future feature offers optional cloud backup, we will disclose that at the point of use.
Website (ifrsuite.app). When you visit the Website we may automatically collect pages viewed, time on page, referring URLs, browser and device type, screen size, language, approximate region inferred from IP address, server logs (IP address, HTTP method, URL, status code, timestamp, User-Agent), and cookie or similar storage data as described in Section 25.
• Simulation Session Data: Records of simulation and training sessions, which may include departure and destination airports (ICAO codes), runway and procedure selections, proprietary cockpit configuration chosen (for example, glass, integrated glass PFD/ND, or classic analog panel), autopilot usage, navigation radio frequencies tuned, spawn position, wind and weather configuration within the simulator, flight duration, scores, procedure grades or debrief criteria, and session outcomes. This data powers flight logs, replay, debrief, progress tracking, and product analytics.
• Flight Path and Trail Data: During active simulation, the App may record simulated position samples (for example, latitude, longitude, altitude, heading, airspeed, and vertical speed) primarily on your device. When cloud sync is available and enabled for your account or tier, we may upload a compact, decimated trail and summary metadata suitable for maps, social or community features, and cross-device access — not necessarily the full high-frequency local path.
• Progress and Performance Metrics: Exercise and module completion history, approach or procedure outcomes, scores, accuracy or grading results, training progress, streaks, and related performance trends.
• Leaderboard and Community Data: If leaderboard or community features are enabled, we may process your user identifier, display name (or anonymized label), aggregate progress statistics, and related ranking data so other users can view rankings. Public or shared session summaries you choose to make available may include display name, callsign, airport, score, grade summary, and a compact trail.
• Device and Technical Information: Device type and model, operating system and version, App version, installation or device identifiers, platform (iOS/Android), phone vs. tablet form factor, display characteristics, language settings, crash logs, diagnostic logs, performance metrics, and network or connection type as available.
• Device Fingerprint and Anti-Abuse Identifiers: A persistent technical identifier derived from device hardware and software characteristics, used to enforce per-device STARTER (free) access limits, detect fraud and multi-account abuse, and protect the integrity of the Services. See Section 6.
• Subscription and Entitlement Data: Plan or product tier (including STARTER, Essential, Pro, Special Edition, trials, and promotional or one-time offers), entitlements, purchase history metadata, restore status, and billing-related flags received from RevenueCat and the applicable app store.
• Usage Analytics: Features accessed, screens visited, simulator settings adjusted, session duration, navigation patterns within the App, feature-flag evaluations, aggregated exercise counters, and similar product telemetry.
• Log and Security Data: IP address, access timestamps, authentication events, error reports, and system diagnostic information used for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
• Approximate Location: We do not collect your precise GPS location for the Services. We may infer approximate geographic region (for example, country or state) from IP address or store locale for analytics, pricing localization, content localization, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Simulated aircraft positions inside the App are fictional simulation coordinates and are not your real-world location.
• Local Storage Technologies: The App uses on-device storage (including databases and key-value storage) to retain preferences, flight logs, progress, queues for cloud sync, and similar data necessary for the Services to function offline or efficiently.
• Authentication Providers: Limited profile information (such as name and email) and authentication tokens from Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, as permitted by those providers.
• App Stores: Purchase validation, subscription status, and related commerce metadata from Apple and Google.
• Subscription Management: Entitlement and purchase lifecycle data from RevenueCat, Inc.
• Analytics and Crash Reporting: Pseudonymized or aggregated usage statistics, crash traces, and performance metrics from Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC), where enabled.
• Email Delivery: Delivery, bounce, and engagement metadata from our email service provider when we send transactional or (if you opt in) marketing messages.
Unless you voluntarily provide it in a support message, we do not: use the device microphone; record or process your live voice; collect precise real-world GPS location for advertising or tracking; access your contacts, photos, or media library except where you explicitly import a file into a supported feature; collect health or biometric identifiers (device fingerprinting described in Section 6 is a technical device identifier, not a biometric template); or track your activity across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes. Apple's App Privacy "tracking" flag for IFR Suite is configured as not tracking.
• Provide and Operate the Services: Create and manage accounts; authenticate users; deliver simulation, training, flight log, replay, debrief, grading, progress, leaderboard, and related features; synchronize eligible data across devices; and maintain Service continuity.
• Subscriptions and Entitlements: Process purchases via app stores; verify and restore entitlements; manage renewals, cancellations, trials, and promotional offers; enforce tier-based feature access.
• Per-Device Limit and Fair Use Enforcement: Use device fingerprinting, usage counters, and related signals to enforce STARTER per-device limits and Fair Use Policy limits described in the Terms.
• Security, Fraud Prevention, and Abuse Detection: Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, chargebacks, multi-account abuse, limit circumvention, unauthorized access, reverse-engineering related abuse, and Terms violations; protect Company rights, users, and the public.
• Service Improvement: Analyze aggregated or de-identified usage patterns; diagnose performance issues; test features; improve simulation fidelity, navigation systems, UX, localization, and reliability.
• Communications: Send transactional messages (account, security, purchase, legal notices) and, only with consent or as otherwise permitted by law, optional marketing about features, offers, or updates. You may opt out of marketing at any time.
• Customer Support: Respond to inquiries; diagnose issues; provide assistance.
• Legal Compliance and Protection of Rights: Comply with law; respond to lawful process; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; enforce the Terms; protect intellectual property and trade secrets.
• Business Operations: Internal reporting, auditing, quality assurance, accounting, tax, and corporate transactions as described in Section 7.3.
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, or Swiss law applies, we process personal data under one or more of the following bases:
• Contractual Necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)): Processing necessary to provide the Services you request — including account creation, simulation access, flight logs, debrief, progress sync, subscriptions, and support.
• Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): Security; fraud and abuse prevention; per-device limit enforcement; Service integrity; product analytics and improvement; defending legal claims; and direct marketing where permitted — balanced against your rights and expectations.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): Optional marketing communications and any other processing for which we seek affirmative consent. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
• Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): Compliance with applicable laws, tax and accounting rules, and valid legal process.
To inquire about the legitimate interests relied upon for a specific activity, email lyndenblaine.dev@gmail.com with subject "Privacy — Legitimate Interests."
Simulation and training data are integral to IFR Suite. Handling practices include:
• Local-First Storage: Flight paths, session details, and much of your training history are stored primarily on your device. You may delete individual entries or local data using in-App controls where available, or by uninstalling the App (which removes local storage).
• Cloud Sync: Depending on your subscription tier and feature availability, progress summaries, exercise history, compact flight-session records, and related metadata may sync to our Firebase Firestore (or successor) backend so you can access them across devices and so we can provide Service features. Cloud uploads are typically queued and retried and are not intended to block ending a flight.
• Visibility Controls: Where the App offers private or public session visibility, public or shared records may be visible to other users according to the settings you select. Choose visibility carefully; public content may be difficult to fully retract once viewed or cached by others.
• Leaderboards: Aggregate ranking data associated with your account or display name may be visible to other users.
• Analytics Use: We may use simulation and training data in aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified form to understand usage, improve fidelity, and guide product development.
• No Sale for Advertising Profiling: We do not sell your individual simulation data and do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• Not Operational Data: Simulation coordinates, instrument readings, and procedures are training/entertainment content only and must never be used for real-world navigation or flight operations.
We use device fingerprinting and related technical identifiers to generate a persistent device-linked signal used exclusively to: enforce the permanent per-device STARTER (free) access limit described in the Terms (including across reinstalls, account changes, and certain device resets); detect and prevent fraud, multi-account abuse, entitlement circumvention, and other Terms violations; and support account security and integrity of the Services. The fingerprint is derived from device hardware and software characteristics. It does not by itself constitute your legal name, but it may be associated with your account, IP address, or usage history. By using the Services, you acknowledge and consent to this processing to the extent consent is required. This mechanism is fundamental to providing and protecting the Services and cannot be individually disabled without impairing access. Where law requires a different legal basis, we rely on legitimate interests and contractual necessity as applicable.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not rent or trade personal information for third-party marketing. We share information only as described below.
We engage carefully selected vendors that process information on our behalf to operate the Services, subject to contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations where required:
• Authentication: Apple Inc.; Google LLC.
• Backend Infrastructure: Google LLC (Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and related Google Cloud services); website hosting and delivery providers (including Vercel).
• Subscription Management: RevenueCat, Inc.; Apple Inc.; Google LLC.
• Analytics and Crash Reporting: Google LLC (Firebase Analytics; Firebase Crashlytics; Google Analytics on the Website), where enabled.
• Email Communications: Brevo (Sendinblue SAS / Brevo) for transactional and opted-in marketing email delivery and list management.
• Map and Imagery Providers: Map tile and imagery services used to render maps may receive technical request data such as IP address when tiles are fetched.
Aeronautical reference datasets used inside the simulator may be licensed from third-party data suppliers and processed locally within the App. Ordinary App use is not intended to transmit your personal profile to those data suppliers unless you separately establish a relationship with them outside the Services.
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to: comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; enforce the Terms; protect the rights, property, safety, or security of Lynden-Blaine Inc., our users, or the public; detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We may disclose information in response to valid subpoenas, court orders, and similar process, and we may challenge requests when we believe in good faith that they are overbroad, unlawful, or improper.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of assets, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as a business asset. We will provide notice required by applicable law before information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
We may create, use, and share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, including for research, analytics, industry reporting, and marketing of the Services. We maintain processes designed to prevent re-identification of de-identified data except as permitted by law.
Information you choose to make public within the App (for example, leaderboard display name or public session summaries) is visible to other users as designed by those features.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA ("CCPA/CPRA") and similar U.S. state laws, "sale" and "sharing" have specific meanings. We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any required opt-out mechanism.
In the preceding 12 months, depending on how you use the Services, we may have collected the following categories of personal information (as defined under CCPA/CPRA), from the sources and for the purposes described in this Policy, and disclosed them to the service-provider categories in Section 7:
• Identifiers (name, email, account IDs, device IDs, IP address);
• Customer records information (account profile and subscription metadata);
• Commercial information (purchase and entitlement history);
• Internet or electronic network activity (App usage, logs, analytics);
• Geolocation data (approximate region only; simulated positions are not real-world location);
• Inferences drawn from usage to improve features and enforce limits (not for third-party ad profiling);
• Sensitive personal information: we do not seek to collect sensitive personal information as a primary product purpose. Account credentials and precise geolocation are not collected for sale or cross-context advertising. Device fingerprinting is used only for security and limit enforcement as described herein.
Retention for each category is described in Section 12. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under CPRA beyond what is necessary to provide the Services, prevent fraud, and comply with law.
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), encryption at rest in supported cloud infrastructure, least-privilege access controls, secure authentication via Firebase Authentication and platform sign-in, monitoring for anomalous access where available, and vendor due diligence where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We do not warrant absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your device and account credentials. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lynden-Blaine Inc. disclaims liability for unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss of information beyond our reasonable control, subject to the limitations in the Terms and mandatory law.
If we become aware of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to individuals' rights and freedoms, we will take steps required by applicable law, which may include notifying affected users without undue delay (and where feasible within 72 hours of awareness for GDPR-covered incidents), notifying competent authorities, containing and remediating the incident, and providing information about the nature of the breach, categories of data involved, likely consequences, and measures taken or proposed.
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and prevent fraud — unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
• Account Information: While your account is active and for up to 90 days after deletion (or longer if needed for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance), then deleted or anonymized.
• Cloud-Synced Simulation and Progress Data: While your account is active and up to 90 days after account deletion, subject to backups and legal holds.
• Local Simulation Data: Until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App.
• Device Fingerprint and Anti-Abuse Records: As long as necessary to enforce per-device limits and prevent fraud, which may continue after account deletion.
• Payment and Transaction Metadata: Generally at least 7 years for tax, accounting, and financial record-keeping, or longer if required.
• Logs and Diagnostics: Typically up to 12 months, unless needed longer for security investigations.
• Marketing Preferences and Consent Records: For as long as needed to honor opt-outs and demonstrate compliance.
• Aggregated / De-Identified Analytics: May be retained indefinitely.
• Legal Holds: Information subject to legal claims, investigations, or audits may be retained until the matter is fully resolved.
To exercise any right described below, email lyndenblaine.dev@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy Rights Request." We will respond within the period required by applicable law (generally within 30–45 days, extendable where permitted) after verifying your identity. We may decline requests that are unfounded, excessive, legally exempt, or that would compromise the security, fraud-prevention, or integrity mechanisms of the Services, to the extent permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights afforded by law.
• Access a copy of personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information;
• Request deletion, subject to legal exceptions (including fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, and completing transactions);
• Opt out of optional marketing emails;
• Request account deletion (device fingerprint and certain anti-abuse records may be retained as permitted by law).
• Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR);
• Restriction of processing (Art. 18);
• Objection to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing (Art. 21);
• Withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3));
• Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (for example, the ICO in the UK or your EU Member State DPA);
• Rights regarding automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects (Art. 22). Entitlement and fraud systems may involve automated signals; they do not produce legal effects equivalent to credit denials, and human review is available upon request where required.
• Right to know / access categories and specific pieces of personal information;
• Right to delete;
• Right to correct;
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing (not applicable to our current practices as stated in Section 8);
• Right to limit use of sensitive personal information to permitted purposes;
• Right to non-discrimination;
• Right to use an authorized agent, subject to verification;
• Shine the Light: we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, and other states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of personal data, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling, plus appeal rights if we deny a request. Contact lyndenblaine.dev@gmail.com to exercise these rights. Because we do not sell personal data or engage in cross-context behavioral advertising, certain opt-outs may not change our current processing but will be honored if our practices change.
Lynden-Blaine Inc. is organized under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. For transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to countries without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, Swiss-approved clauses, adequacy decisions, and/or other lawful transfer mechanisms. Contact us for details.
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent (COPPA and similar laws). If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. Users aged 13–17 may use the Services only with parental or guardian consent as described in the Terms. In the EEA/UK, where the digital age of consent is higher than 13, we will not process personal data of users below that age without appropriate parental consent. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.
The Services interoperate with third-party platforms that have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices. Examples include: Apple Sign-In / App Store; Google Sign-In / Firebase / Google Cloud / Play Store; RevenueCat; Brevo; and map and imagery tile providers. Inclusion of a provider does not mean affiliation or endorsement. Third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are referenced solely to identify services.
If you opt in, we may send promotional emails, push notifications, or in-app messages about features, training tips, offers, and updates. Opt out by using unsubscribe links, adjusting in-App email preferences, disabling push notifications in device settings, or emailing lyndenblaine.dev@gmail.com. Transactional, security, account, and legally required communications are not marketing and generally cannot be disabled while your account remains active.
IFR Suite is not configured for Apple-defined "tracking" across other companies' apps or websites. We do not use your Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) for cross-app advertising tracking. Declining tracking does not prevent core simulation features from functioning.
There is no uniform industry standard for browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals, and the App does not currently respond to DNT. Where required by law, we will treat legally recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) as a valid request to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, such signals primarily confirm our existing practices.
IFR Suite, including its cockpit presentations, simulation systems, training content, visual design, and software, are original works and proprietary technology of Lynden-Blaine Inc. References in the Services or this Policy to generic aviation concepts (for example, glass cockpit, HSI, or classic six-pack) describe educational simulation features only. Nothing in the Services or this Policy should be construed as affiliation with, endorsement by, or license from any third-party avionics manufacturer, airline, training organization, or competing application. All third-party names and marks that may appear solely to identify independent services (such as Apple or Google) belong to their respective owners.
We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" and "Effective date" above and, where required by law, provide additional notice (for example, in-App notice or email) and obtain consent if legally required. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy to the maximum extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, stop using the Services and request account deletion.
Except where mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection law of your country of residence requires otherwise, this Privacy Policy and any dispute arising out of or relating to it or our privacy practices are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and are subject to the mandatory informal dispute resolution, binding individual arbitration, class-action waiver, jury-trial waiver, and venue provisions of the Terms (including arbitration administered by the AAA, with seat in Wilmington, Delaware, unless AAA consumer rules or mandatory law require otherwise). For claims that a court may hear, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, and waive objections to venue and forum non conveniens, except where prohibited.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, any privacy-related claim must be filed within one (1) year after the claim accrued, or it is permanently barred. Remedies for privacy claims are limited as set forth in the Terms' limitation of liability, except where mandatory law provides non-waivable rights (including GDPR rights to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority and certain statutory remedies under U.S. state privacy laws).
